MARO is pleased to partner with ASPPIRE  to present a 1-day seminar in Westland on July 16.  This training is designed for job coaches, assisting individuals with disabilities to ensure employment success.

About the presenters:


Maria Peak has worked in the field of special education for Eaton Regional Education Services Association (ERESA) in Charlotte, Michigan from 1985 to 2013.  At ERESA, she was a classroom teacher and the transition coordinator for the county.  In 2013, Maria was the project coordinator for Michigan Transition Outcomes Project, a project funded by IDEA through the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Special Education. In 2015, Maria became the Director of ASPPIRE, a non-profit organization that supports individuals with social difficulties. 


Bob Steinkamp is a retired special educator serving thirty-six years, including teaching, consulting, and supervising. With two colleagues, he created a social coaching model for young adults on the autism spectrum. Bob is a co-author of the reference and organization system for individuals with social and cognitive challenges titled The Planner Guide, and currently teaches Special Education at the college level. 

 

Cancellations are subject to a $25 admin fee.  No cancellations allowed after July 8. Substitutions permitted.
