Demystifying AI: How to Start using Generative AI to transform your business.

Course Goals:

  • Introduce participants to generative AI and its possibilities.
  • Equip them with basic skills to start using AI tools, specifically ChatGPT.
  • Encourage thoughtful and ethical engagement with AI technology.

This course is created for:

Those who do not know what Artificial Intelligence is, and wish to know more. No prerequisite knowledge is required. 


 Course Outline

1. What is Generative AI? (10 minutes)

  • Quick introduction to generative AI and how it differs from traditional AI.
  • Its impact and why it matters to everyone.

2. Key Terms Made Simple (5 minutes)

  • Explaining important terms like "prompts", "tokens", “foundation models” and other terms in plain language.

3. Getting Started with Generative AI (15 minutes)

  • How to use AI for writing, summarization, data analysis, and image creation.
  • Simple steps and basic prompting techniques to generate useful content.

4. Real-World Uses of Generative AI (10 minutes)

  • Overview of Impactful use cases that businesses and non-profits can target to begin adopting AI.

5. Ethical Use of AI (5 minutes)

  • Why ethics matter in AI.
  • A brief discussion on using AI responsibly.

6. Q&A and How to Keep Learning (5 minutes)

  • Answering your questions.
  • Where to go next on your AI journey.

Presenters:

  • Scott Caesar
    •  Scott Caesar is the founder of WordWorks AI, a generative AI research and innovation consulting organization. With over 15 years of experience in the enterprise software industry and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Scott is a proven leader in driving growth and launching innovative products.

      Scott is passionate about the potential of generative AI to drive innovation and positive social impact. His approach to leading and innovating is grounded in continuous learning and agile methodologies.
       

  • Kevin Hardin
    •  Driven by the belief that generative AI can be a force for good, Kevin Hardin is on a mission to empower non-profits and social entrepreneurs to amplify their societal impact using AI tools and workflows. Kevin has a background in engineering and education and uses the combination to make AI accessible and immediately beneficial to non-profit organizations. By targeting a significant reduction of mundane tasks through generative AI, Kevin Hardin enables non-profit teams to dedicate more energy to high-impact activities, significantly increasing both job satisfaction and revenue.


To Take This Training Attendees Need:

A computer that can use Zoom, a microphone, and camera. For the On-Demand content, not only will you need a computer, but you will be given an account to access our Learning Management System. Recordings will only be available for 3 months. 

Attendees will be emailed Zoom login information for registered session(s)  1 week before the event.  

Attendees will be provided a digital handout of the PowerPoint and a packet of resource materials for each session.

"No-Shows" will not be eligible for a refund. Refund requests are subject to a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be given after April 25. 

For those who purchased the recordings bundle: the recordings are meant for viewing by the original registrant. If another person attends your live sessions or views your recordings, it will forfeit your access to the LMS recordings.
